Shadyac graduated from the Unversity of Virginia and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 23. Only one year after he started his activity in a show business. Shadyac made his successful debut as the director of “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” in which Jim Carrey, Sean Young and Courteney Cox starred. He has since directed many other movies, such as “Liar Liar” in 1997, “Patch Adams” in 1998, “Dragonfly” in 2002, “Bruce Almighty” in 2003, and others.
