Francesco Totti, Ufficiale OMRI, (born 27 September 1976) is an Italian footballer who is the captain of Serie A club Roma. His primary position is that of a trequartista or supporting forward, though he has also been successfully utilized as a lone striker. Totti has spent his entire career at Roma, is the number-one goalscorer and the most capped player in the club's history. He is considered to be one of the greatest players of his generation, and also as Roma's greatest player ever. On 19 June 2005, he married his girlfriend, Ilary Blasi in The Basilica of St. Mary of the Altar of Heaven (in Italian: Basilica di Santa Maria in Aracoeli al Campidoglio) in Rome, Italy. Their wedding was aired on television with proceeds being donated to charity.
